TV and radio interference or reception
The Broadcasting Authority does not handle complaints about interference on your television or radio set. Although the Broadcasting Authority licenses all local radio and television broadcasting stations, the allocation of frequencies is reserved to the Malta Communications Authority.

The Broadcasting Authority doesn't have the powers to investigate these matters. If your complaint can't be resolved with your provider, you may wish to contact the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority or seek independent legal advice.

Changes to TV/radio schedules
The decision to make last minute alterations to schedules or prolong coverage of live events rests with broadcasters. If you want to provide feedback on this, you should contact the relevant broadcaster. You can find a list of our licensed Radio TV broadcasters here.

A radio station or TV channel not keeping to licensing rules
Article 10 of the Broadcasting Act, Cap. 350 specifies various classes of broadcasting licences for radio and television broadcasts
(a) nationwide television services;
(b) nationwide radio services;
(c) community radio services including temporary radio stations;
(d) satellite radio services;
(e) satellite television services;
(f) service providers

The company that operates a TV channel or radio station
The way TV and radio companies are managed is not within the Broadcasting Authority’s remit. However, in some cases there may be issues that affect the licence held by a company, which the Broadcasting Authority may consider investigating.
